O ye people! Adore your Guardian-Lord, who created you and those who
came before you, that ye may have the chance to learn righteousness;
[2:21]
O ye people! Eat of what is on earth, Lawful and good; and do not
follow the footsteps of the evil one, for he is to you an avowed
enemy. [2:168]
O mankind! reverence your Guardian-Lord, who created you from a
single person, created, of like nature, His mate, and from them twain
scattered (like seeds) countless men and women;- reverence Allah,
through whom ye demand your mutual (rights), and (reverence) the
wombs (That bore you): for Allah ever watches over you. [4:1]
O Mankind! The Messenger hath come to you in truth from Allah.
believe in him: It is best for you. But if ye reject Faith, to Allah
belong all things in the heavens and on earth: And Allah is All-
knowing, All-wise. [4:170]
O mankind! verily there hath come to you a convincing proof from your
Lord: For We have sent unto you a light (that is) manifest. [4:174]
day: "O men! I am sent unto you all, as the Messenger of Allah, to
Whom belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth: there is no
god but He: it is He That giveth both life and death. So believe in
Allah and His Messenger, the Unlettered Prophet, who believeth in
Allah and His words: follow him that (so) ye may be guided." [7:158]
But when he delivereth them, behold! they transgress insolently
through the earth in defiance of right! O mankind! your insolence is
against your own souls,- an enjoyment of the life of the present: in
the end, to Us is your return, and We shall show you the truth of all
that ye did. [10:23]
O mankind! there hath come to you a direction from your Lord and a
healing for the (diseases) in your hearts,- and for those who
believe, a guidance and a Mercy. [10:57]
Say: "O ye men! If ye are in doubt as to my religion, (behold!) I
worship not what ye worship, other than Allah. But I worship Allah -
Who will take your souls (at death): I am commanded to be (in the
ranks) of the Believers, [10:104]
Say: "O ye men! Now Truth hath reached you from your Lord! those who
receive guidance, do so for the good of their own souls; those who
stray, do so to their own loss: and I am not (set) over you to
arrange your affairs." [10:108]
O mankind! fear your Lord! for the convulsion of the Hour (of
Judgment) will be a thing terrible! [22:1]
O mankind! if ye have a doubt about the Resurrection, (consider) that
We created you out of dust, then out of sperm, then out of a leech-
like clot, then out of a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly
unformed, in order that We may manifest (our power) to you; and We
cause whom We will to rest in the wombs for an appointed term, then
do We bring you out as babes, then (foster you) that ye may reach
your age of full strength; and some of you are called to die, and
some are sent back to the feeblest old age, so that they know nothing
after having known (much), and (further), thou seest the earth barren
and lifeless, but when We pour down rain on it, it is stirred (to
life), it swells, and it puts forth every kind of beautiful growth
(in pairs). [22:5]
Say: "O men! I am (sent) to you only to give a Clear Warning: [22:49]
O men! Here is a parable set forth! listen to it! Those on whom,
besides Allah, ye call, cannot create (even) a fly, if they all met
together for the purpose! and if the fly should snatch away anything
from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly.
Feeble are those who petition and those whom they petition! [22:73]
And Solomon was David's heir. He said: "O ye people! We have been
taught the speech of birds, and on us has been bestowed (a little) of
all things: this is indeed Grace manifest (from Allah.)" [27:16]
At length, when they came to a (lowly) valley of ants, one of the
ants said: "O ye ants, get into your habitations, lest Solomon and
his hosts crush you (under foot) without knowing it." [27:18]
O mankind! do your duty to your Lord, and fear (the coming of) a Day
when no father can avail aught for his son, nor a son avail aught for
his father. Verily, the promise of Allah is true: let not then this
present life deceive you, nor let the chief Deceiver deceive you
about Allah. [31:33]
O men! Call to mind the grace of Allah unto you! is there a creator,
other than Allah, to give you sustenance from heaven or earth? There
is no god but He: how then are ye deluded away from the Truth? [35:3]
O men! Certainly the promise of Allah is true. Let not then this
present life deceive you, nor let the Chief Deceiver deceive you
about Allah. [35:5]
O ye men! It is ye that have need of Allah. but Allah is the One Free
of all wants, worthy of all praise. [35:15]
O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a
female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each
other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured
of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of
you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all
things). [49:13]
