Araayta/ Seest Thou

What Quran Says About Seest Thou?

(Araayta)

Seest thou such a one as taketh for his god his own passion (or impulse)? Couldst thou be a disposer of affairs for him? [25:43] Or thinkest thou that most of them listen or understand? They are only like cattle;- nay, they are worse astray in Path. [25:44]

Seest thou one who denies the Judgment (to come)? [107:1] Then such is the (man) who repulses the orphan (with harshness), [107:2] And encourages not the feeding of the indigent. [107:3]

Seest thou one who forbids- [96:9] A votary when he (turns) to pray? [96:10]

Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?- [96:11] Or enjoins Righteousness? [96:12]

Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? [96:13] Knoweth he not that God doth see? [96:14] Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,- [96:15] A lying, sinful forelock! [96:16] Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): [96:17] We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! [96:18] Day, heed him not: But bow down in adoration, and bring thyself the closer (to God)! [96:19]

When comes the Help of God, and Victory, [110:1] And thou dost see the people enter Allah's Religion in crowds, [110:2] Celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and pray for His Forgiveness: For He is Oft-Returning (in Grace and Mercy). [110:3]

Behold, Moses said to his attendant, "I will not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas or (until) I spend years and years in travel." [18:60] But when they reached the Junction, they forgot (about) their Fish, which took its course through the sea (straight) as in a tunnel. [18:61] When they had passed on (some distance), Moses said to his attendant: "Bring us our early meal; truly we have suffered much fatigue at this (stage of) our journey."

[18:62] He replied: "Sawest thou (what happened) when we betook ourselves to the rock? I did indeed forget (about) the Fish: none but Satan made me forget to tell (you) about it: it took its course through the sea in a marvellous way!" [18:63
