What Quran Says About Honorable?
(Kareem)
O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- [82:6]
Who is he that will Loan to Allah a beautiful loan? for ((Allah)) will increase it manifold to his credit, and he will have (besides) a liberal Reward. [57:11]
For those who give in Charity, men and women, and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan, it shall be increased manifold (to their credit), and they shall have (besides) a liberal reward. [57:18]
"Those who believe and work righteousness, for them is forgiveness and a sustenance most generous. [22:50]
That He may reward those who believe and work deeds of righteousness: for such is Forgiveness and a Sustenance Most Generous." [34:4]
Their salutation on the Day they meet Him will be "Peace!"; and He has prepared for them a generous Reward. [33:44]
Those who believe, and adopt exile, and fight for the Faith, in the cause of Allah as well as those who give (them) asylum and aid,- these are (all) in very truth the Believers: for them is the forgiveness of sins and a provision most generous. [8:74]
Such in truth are the believers: they have grades of dignity with their Lord, and forgiveness, and generous sustenance: [8:4]
Thy Lord hath decreed that ye worship none but Him, and that ye be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in thy life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honour. [17:23]
O Consorts of the Prophet! If any of you were guilty of evident unseemly conduct, the Punishment would be doubled to her, and that is easy for God. [33:30] But any of you that is devout in the service of Allah and His Messenger, and works righteousness,- to her shall We grant her reward twice: and We have prepared for her a generous Sustenance. [33:31]
Women impure are for men impure, and men impure for women impure and women of purity are for men of purity, and men of purity are for women of purity: these are not affected by what people say: for them there is forgiveness, and a provision honourable. [24:26]
If ye (but) eschew the most heinous of the things which ye are forbidden to do, We shall expel out of you all the evil in you, and admit you to a gate of great honour. [4:31]
That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, [56:77]
That this is verily the word of an honoured apostle; [69:40]
Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, [81:19]
Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour! [23:116]
He created the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; He set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and He scattered through it beasts of all kinds. We send down rain from the sky, and produce on the earth every kind of noble creature, in pairs. [31:10]
Do they not look at the earth,- how many noble things of all kinds We have produced therein? [26:7]
Thou canst but admonish such a one as follows the Message and fears the (Lord) Most Gracious, unseen: give such a one, therefore, good tidings, of Forgiveness and a Reward most generous. [36:11]
We do relate unto thee the most beautiful of stories, in that We reveal to thee this (portion of the) Quran: before this, thou too was among those who knew it not. [12:3] Behold! Joseph said to his father: "O my father! I did see eleven stars and the sun and the moon: I saw them prostrate themselves to me!" [12:4] Said (the father): "My (dear) little son! relate not thy vision to thy brothers, lest they concoct a plot against thee: for Satan is to man an avowed enemy! [12:5] "Thus will thy Lord choose thee and teach thee the interpretation of stories (and events) and perfect His favour to thee and to the posterity of Jacob - even as He perfected it to thy fathers Abraham and Isaac aforetime! for God is full of know ledge and wisdom." [12:6] Verily in Joseph and his brethren are signs (or symbols) for seekers (after Truth). [12:7] They said: "Truly Joseph and his brother are loved more by our father than we: But we are a goodly body! really our father is obviously wandering (in his mind)! [12:8] "Slay ye Joseph or cast him out to some (unknown) land, that so the favour of your father may be given to you alone: (there will be time enough) for you to be righteous after that!" [12:9] Said one of them: "Slay not Joseph, but if ye must do something, throw him down to the bottom of the well: he will be picked up by some caravan of travellers." [12:10] They said: "O our father! why dost thou not trust us with Joseph,- seeing we are indeed his sincere well-wishers?
[12:11] "Send him with us tomorrow to enjoy himself and play, and we shall take every care of him." [12:12] (Jacob) said: "Really it saddens me that ye should take him away: I fear lest the wolf should devour him while ye attend not to him." [12:13] They said: "If the wolf were to devour him while we are (so large) a party, then should we indeed (first) have perished ourselves!" [12:14] So they did take him away, and they all agreed to throw him down to the bottom of the well: and We put into his heart (this Message): 'Of a surety thou shalt (one day) tell them the truth of this their affair while they know (thee) not' [12:15] Then they came to their father in the early part of the night, weeping. [12:16] They said: "O our father! We went racing with one another, and left Joseph with our things; and the wolf devoured him.... But thou wilt never believe us even though we tell the truth." [12:17] They stained his shirt with false blood. He said: "Nay, but your minds have made up a tale (that may pass) with you, (for me) patience is most fitting: Against that which ye assert, it is God (alone) Whose help can be sought".. [12:18] Then there came a caravan of travellers: they sent their water-carrier (for water), and he let down his bucket (into the well)...He said: "Ah there! Good news! Here is a (fine) young man!" So they concealed him as a treasure! But God knoweth well all that they do! [12:19] The (Brethren) sold him for a miserable price, for a few dirhams counted out: in such low estimation did they hold him! [12:20] The man in Egypt who bought him, said to his wife: "Make his stay (among us) honourable: may be he will bring us much good, or we shall adopt him as a son." Thus did We establish Joseph in the land, that We might teach him the interpretation of stories (and events). And God hath full power and control over His affairs; but most among mankind know it not. [12:21] When Joseph attained His full manhood, We gave him power and knowledge: thus do We reward those who do right. [12:22] But she in whose house he was, sought to seduce him from his (true) self: she fastened the doors, and said: "Now come, thou (dear one)!" He said: "God forbid! truly (thy husband) is my lord! he made my sojourn agreeable! truly to no good come those who do wrong!" [12:23] And (with passion) did she desire him, and he would have desired her, but that he saw the evidence of his Lord: thus (did We order) that We might turn away from him (all) evil and shameful deeds: for he was one of Our servants, sincere and purified. [12:24] So they both raced each other to the door, and she tore his shirt from the back: they both found her lord near the door. She said: "What is the (fitting) punishment for one who formed an evil design against thy wife, but prison or a grievous chastisement?" [12:25] He said: "It was she that sought to seduce me - from my (true) self." And one of her household saw (this) and bore witness, (thus):- "If it be that his shirt is rent from the front, then is her tale true, and he is a liar! [12:26] "But if it be that his shirt is torn from the back, then is she the liar, and he is telling the truth!" [12:27] So when he saw his shirt,- that it was torn at the back,- (her husband) said: "Behold! It is a snare of you women! truly, mighty is your snare! [12:28] "O Joseph, pass this over! (O wife), ask forgiveness for thy sin, for truly thou hast been at fault!" [12:29] Ladies said in the City: "The wife of the (great) 'Aziz is seeking to seduce her slave from his (true) self: Truly hath he inspired her with violent love: we see she is evidently going astray." [12:30] When she heard of their malicious talk, she sent for them and prepared a banquet for them: she gave each of them a knife: and she said (to Joseph), "Come out before them." When they saw him, they did extol him, and (in their amazement) cut their hands: they said, "(Allah) preserve us! no mortal is this! this is none other than a NOBLE angel!" [12:31]
And Solomon was David's heir. He said: "O ye people! We have been taught the speech of birds, and on us has been bestowed (a little) of all things: this is indeed Grace manifest (from God.)" [27:16] And before Solomon were marshalled his hosts,- of Jinns and men and birds, and they were all kept in order and ranks. [27:17] At length, when they came to a (lowly) valley of ants, one of the ants said: "O ye ants, get into your habitations, lest Solomon and his hosts crush you (under foot) without knowing it." [27:18] So he smiled, amused at her speech; and he said: "O my Lord! so order me that I may be grateful for Thy favours, which thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may work the righteousness that will please Thee: And admit me, by Thy Grace, to the ranks of Thy righteous Servants." [27:19] And he took a muster of the Birds; and he said: "Why is it I see not the Hoopoe? Or is he among the absentees? [27:20] "I will certainly punish him with a severe penalty, or execute him, unless he bring me a clear reason (for absence)." [27:21] But the Hoopoe tarried not far: he (came up and) said: "I have compassed (territory) which thou hast not compassed, and I have come to thee from Saba with tidings true. [27:22] "I found (there) a woman ruling over them and provided with every requisite; and she has a magnificent throne. [27:23] "I found her and her people worshipping the sun besides God: Satan has made their deeds seem pleasing in their eyes, and has kept them away from the Path,- so they receive no guidance,- [27:24] "(Kept them away from the Path), that they should not worship God, Who brings to light what is hidden in the heavens and the earth, and knows what ye hide and what ye reveal. [27:25] "God!- there is no god but He!- Lord of the Throne Supreme!" [27:26] (Solomon) said: "Soon shall we see whether thou hast told the truth or lied! [27:27] "Go thou, with this letter of mine, and deliver it to them: then draw back from them, and (wait to) see what answer they return"... [27:28] 27:29 (The queen) said: "Ye chiefs! here is delivered to me - a letter worthy of respect. [27:29]
"It is from Solomon, and is (as follows): 'In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful: [27:30] "'Be ye not arrogant against me, but come to me in submission (to the true Religion).'" [27:31] She said: "Ye chiefs! advise me in (this) my affair: no affair have I decided except in your presence." [27:32] They said: "We are endued with strength, and given to vehement war: but the command is with thee; so consider what thou wilt command." [27:33] She said: "Kings, when they enter a country, despoil it, and make the noblest of its people its meanest thus do they behave. [27:34] "But I am going to send him a present, and (wait) to see with what (answer) return (my) ambassadors." [27:35] Now when (the embassy) came to Solomon, he said: "Will ye give me abundance in wealth? But that which God has given me is better than that which He has given you! Nay it is ye who rejoice in your gift! [27:36] "Go back to them, and be sure we shall come to them with such hosts as they will never be able to meet: We shall expel them from there in disgrace, and they will feel humbled (indeed)." [27:37] He said (to his own men): "Ye chiefs! which of you can bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?" [27:38] Said an 'Ifrit, of the Jinns: "I will bring it to thee before thou rise from thy council: indeed I have full strength for the purpose, and may be trusted." [27:39] Said one who had knowledge of the Book: "I will bring it to thee within the twinkling of an eye!" Then when (Solomon) saw it placed firmly before him, he said: "This is by the Grace of my Lord!- to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful! and if any is grateful, truly his gratitude is (a gain) for his own soul; but if any is ungrateful, truly my Lord is Free of all Needs, Supreme in HONOUR !" [27:40]
We did, before them, try the people of Pharaoh: there came to them an apostle most honourable, [44:17] Saying: "Restore to me the Servants of God: I am to you an apostle worthy of all trust; [44:18] "And be not arrogant as against God: for I come to you with authority manifest. [44:19] "For me, I have sought safety with my Lord and your Lord, against your injuring me. [44:20] "If ye believe me not, at least keep yourselves away from me." [44:21] (But they were aggressive:) then he cried to his Lord: "These are indeed a people given to sin." [44:22] (The reply came:) "March forth with My Servants by night: for ye are sure to be pursued. [44:23] "And leave the sea as a furrow (divided): for they are a host (destined) to be drowned." [44:24] How many were the gardens and springs they left behind, [44:25]
And corn-fields and noble buildings, [44:26] And wealth (and conveniences of life), wherein they had taken such delight! [44:27] Thus (was their end)! And We made other people inherit (those things)! [44:28] And neither heaven nor earth shed a tear over them: nor were they given a respite (again). [44:29] We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment, [44:30] Inflicted by Pharaoh, for he was arrogant (even) among inordinate transgressors. [44:31] And We chose them aforetime above the nations, knowingly, [44:32] And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial [44:33]
Behold, thy Lord called Moses: "Go to the people of iniquity,- [26:10] "The people of the Pharaoh: will they not fear God?" [26:11] He said: "O my Lord! I do fear that they will charge me with falsehood: [26:12] "My breast will be straitened. And my speech may not go (smoothly): so send unto Aaron. [26:13] "And (further), they have a charge of crime against me; and I fear they may slay me." [26:14] God said: "By no means! proceed then, both of you, with Our Signs; We are with you, and will listen (to your call). [26:15] "So go forth, both of you, to Pharaoh, and say: 'We have been sent by the Lord and Cherisher of the worlds; [26:16] "'Send thou with us the Children of Israel.'" [26:17] (Pharaoh) said: "Did we not cherish thee as a child among us, and didst thou not stay in our midst many years of thy life? [26:18] "And thou didst a deed of thine which (thou knowest) thou didst, and thou art an ungrateful (wretch)!" [26:19] Moses said: "I did it then, when I was in error. [26:20] "So I fled from you (all) when I feared you; but my Lord has (since) invested me with judgment (and wisdom) and appointed me as one of the apostles. [26:21] "And this is the favour with which thou dost reproach me,- that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel!" [26:22] Pharaoh said: "And what is the 'Lord and Cherisher of the worlds'?" [26:23] (Moses) said: "The Lord and Cherisher of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- if ye want to be quite sure." [26:24] (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Did ye not listen (to what he says)?" [26:25] (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers from the beginning!" [26:26] (Pharaoh) said: "Truly your apostle who has been sent to you is a veritable madman!" [26:27] (Moses) said: "Lord of the East and the West, and all between! if ye only had sense!" [26:28] (Pharaoh) said: "If thou dost put forward any god other than me, I will certainly put thee in prison!" [26:29] (Moses) said: "Even if I showed you something clear (and) convincing?" [26:30] (Pharaoh) said: "Show it then, if thou tellest the truth!" [26:31] So (Moses) threw his rod, and behold, it was a serpent, plain (for all to see)! [26:32] And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! [26:33] (Pharaoh) said to the Chiefs around him: "This is indeed a sorcerer well- versed: [26:34] "His plan is to get you out of your land by his sorcery; then what is it ye counsel?" [26:35] They said: "Keep him and his brother in suspense (for a while), and dispatch to the Cities heralds to collect- [26:36] "And bring up to thee all (our) sorcerers well-versed." [26:37] So the sorcerers were got together for the appointment of a day well-known, [26:38] And the people were told: "Are ye (now) assembled?- [26:39] "That we may follow the sorcerers (in religion) if they win?" [26:40] So when the sorcerers arrived, they said to Pharaoh: "Of course - shall we have a (suitable) reward if we win? [26:41] He said: "Yea, (and more),- for ye shall in that case be (raised to posts) nearest (to my person)." [26:42] Moses said to them: "Throw ye - that which ye are about to throw!" [26:43] So they threw their ropes and their rods, and said: "By the might of Pharaoh, it is we who will certainly win!" [26:44] Then Moses threw his rod, when, behold, it straightway swallows up all the falsehoods which they fake! [26:45] Then did the sorcerers fall down, prostrate in adoration, [26:46] Saying: "We believe in the Lord of the Worlds, [26:47] "The Lord of Moses and Aaron." [26:48] Said (Pharaoh): "Believe ye in Him before I give you permission? surely he is your leader, who has taught you sorcery! but soon shall ye know! "Be sure I will cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will cause you all to die on the cross!" [26:49] They said: "No matter! for us, we shall but return to our Lord! [26:50] "Only, our desire is that our Lord will forgive us our faults, that we may become foremost among the believers!" [26:51] By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." [26:52] Then Pharaoh sent heralds to (all) the Cities, [26:53] (Saying): "These (Israelites) are but a small band, [26:54] "And they are raging furiously against us; [26:55] "But we are a multitude amply fore-warned." [26:56] So We expelled them from gardens, springs, [26:57 Treasures, and every kind of honourable position; [26:58]
As to these (Quraish), they say forsooth: [44:34] "There is nothing beyond our first death, and we shall not be raised again. [44:35] "Then bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!" [44:36] What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. [44:37] We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport: [44:38] We created them not except for just ends: but most of them do not understand. [44:39] Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them,- [44:40] The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, [44:41] Except such as receive God's Mercy: for He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. [44:42] Verily the tree of Zaqqum [44:43] Will be the food of the Sinful,- [44:44] Like molten brass; it will boil in their insides. [44:45] Like the boiling of scalding water. [44:46] (A voice will cry: "Seize ye him and drag him into the midst of the Blazing Fire! [44:47] "Then pour over his head the Penalty of Boiling Water,
[44:48]"Taste thou (this)! Truly wast thou mighty, full of honour! [44:49]
(They will be) in the midst of a Fierce Blast of Fire and in Boiling Water, [56:42] And in the shades of Black Smoke: [56:43] Nothing (will there be) to refresh, nor to please: [56:44]
