What Quran Says About Property?

O ye who believe! take not for protectors your fathers and your brothers if they love infidelity above Faith: if any of you do so, they do wrong. [9:23] Say: If it be that your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your mates, or your kindred; the wealth that ye have gained; the commerce in which ye fear a decline: or the dwellings in which ye delight - are dearer to you than Allah, or His Messenger, or the striving in His cause;- then wait until Allah brings about His decision: and Allah guides not the rebellious. [9:24]

O ye who believe! there are indeed many among the priests and anchorites, who in Falsehood devour the substance of men and hinder (them) from the way of Allah. And there are those who bury gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah. announce unto them a most grievous penalty- [9:34] On the Day when heat will be produced out of that (wealth) in the fire of Hell, and with it will be branded their foreheads, their flanks, and their backs, their flanks, and their backs.- "This is the (treasure) which ye buried for yourselves: taste ye, then, the (treasures) ye buried!" [9:35]

Those who unjustly eat up the property of orphans, eat up a Fire into their own bodies: They will soon be enduring a Blazing Fire! [4:10]

See they not that God enlarges the provision and restricts it, to whomsoever He pleases? Verily in that are Signs for those who believe. [30:37] So give what is due to kindred, the needy, and the wayfarer. That is best for those who seek the Countenance, of God, and it is they who will prosper. [30:38] That which ye lay out for increase through the property of (other) people, will have no increase with Allah. but that which ye lay out for charity, seeking the Countenance of Allah, (will increase): it is these who will get a recompense multiplied. [30:39]

Know ye (all), that the life of this world is but play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting and multiplying, (in rivalry) among yourselves, riches and children. Here is a similitude: How rain and the growth which it brings forth, delight (the hearts of) the tillers; soon it withers; thou wilt see it grow yellow; then it becomes dry and crumbles away. But in the Hereafter is a Penalty severe (for the devotees of wrong). And Forgiveness from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure (for the devotees of Allah.. And what is the life of this world, but goods and chattels of deception? [57:20]

Behold! We said to the angels: "Bow down unto Adam": They bowed down except Iblis: He said, "Shall I bow down to one whom Thou didst create from clay?" [17:61] He said: "Seest Thou? this is the one whom Thou hast honoured above me! If Thou wilt but respite me to the Day of Judgment, I will surely bring his descendants under my sway - all but a few!" [17:62] (God) said: "Go thy way; if any of them follow thee, verily Hell will be the recompense of you (all)- an ample recompense. [17:63] "Lead to destruction those whom thou canst among them, with thy (seductive) voice; make assaults on them with thy cavalry and thy infantry; mutually share with them WEALTH and children; and make promises to them." But Satan promises them nothing but deceit. [17:64] "As for My servants, no authority shalt thou have over them:" Enough is thy Lord for a Disposer of affairs. [17:65]

Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere, [2:155] Who say, when afflicted with calamity: "To God We belong, and to Him is our return":- [2:156] They are those on whom (Descend) blessings from God, and Mercy, and they are the ones that receive guidance. [2:157]

And do not eat up your property among yourselves for vanities, nor use it as bait for the judges, with intent that ye may eat up wrongfully and knowingly a little of (other) people's property. [2:188]

That they took usury, though they were forbidden; and that they devoured men's substance wrongfully;- we have prepared for those among them who reject faith a grievous punishment. [4:161]

We sent Noah to his People (with the Command): "Do thou warn thy People before there comes to them a grievous Penalty." [71:1] He said: "O my People! I am to you a Warner, clear and open: [71:2] "That ye should worship God, fear Him and obey me: [71:3] "So He may forgive you your sins and give you respite for a stated Term: for when the Term given by God is accomplished, it cannot be put forward: if ye only knew." [71:4] He said: "O my Lord! I have called to my People night and day: [71:5] "But my call only increases (their) flight (from the Right). [71:6] "And every time I have called to them, that Thou mightest forgive them, they have (only) thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, grown obstinate, and given themselves up to arrogance. [71:7] "So I have called to them aloud; [71:8] "Further I have spoken to them in public and secretly in private, [71:9] "Saying, 'Ask forgiveness from your Lord; for He is Oft-Forgiving; [71:10] "'He will send rain to you in abundance; [71:11] "'Give you increase in wealth and sons; and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers (of flowing water). [71:12]

And We gave (Clear) Warning to the Children of Israel in the Book, that twice would they do mischief on the earth and be elated with mighty arrogance (and twice would they be punished)! [17:4] When the first of the warnings came to pass, We sent against you Our servants given to terrible warfare: They entered the very inmost parts of your homes; and it was a warning (completely) fulfilled. [17:4] 17:6 Then did We grant you the Return as against them: We gave you increase in resources and sons, and made you the more numerous in man-power. [17:6]
