Those whom Allah (in His plan) willeth to guide,- He openeth their
breast to Islam; those whom He willeth to leave straying,- He maketh
their breast close and constricted, as if they had to climb up to the
skies: thus doth Allah (heap) the penalty on those who refuse to
believe. [6:125]
The fools among the people will say: "What hath turned them from the
Qibla to which they were used?" Say: To Allah belong both east and
West: He guideth whom He will to a Way that is straight. [2:142]
But Allah doth call to the Home of Peace: He doth guide whom He
pleaseth to a way that is straight. [10:25]
We sent not an apostle except (to teach) in the language of his (own)
people, in order to make (things) clear to them. Now Allah leaves
straying those whom He pleases and guides whom He pleases: and He is
Exalted in power, full of Wisdom. [14:4]
It is not required of thee (O Messenger., to set them on the right
path, but Allah sets on the right path whom He pleaseth. Whatever of
good ye give benefits your own souls, and ye shall only do so seeking
the "Face" of Allah. Whatever good ye give, shall be rendered back to
you, and ye shall not Be dealt with unjustly. [2:272]
It is true thou wilt not be able to guide every one, whom thou
lovest; but Allah guides those whom He will and He knows best those
who receive guidance. [28:56]
We have indeed sent down signs that make things manifest: and Allah
guides whom He wills to a way that is straight. [24:46]
Verily this Qur'an doth guide to that which is most right (or
stable), and giveth the Glad Tidings to the Believers who work deeds
of righteousness, that they shall have a magnificent reward; [17:9]
Thus have We sent down Clear Signs; and verily Allah doth guide whom
He will! [22:16]
Wherewith Allah guideth all who seek His good pleasure to ways of
peace and safety, and leadeth them out of darkness, by His will, unto
the light,- guideth them to a path that is straight. [5:16]
Then those who believe in Allah, and hold fast to Him,- soon will He
admit them to mercy and grace from Himself, and guide them to Himself
by a straight way. [4:175]
And those to whom knowledge has come see that the (Revelation) sent
down to thee from thy Lord - that is the Truth, and that it guides to
the Path of the Exalted (in might), Worthy of all praise. [34:6]
They said, "O our people! We have heard a Book revealed after Moses,
confirming what came before it: it guides (men) to the Truth and to a
Straight Path. [46:30]
'It gives guidance to the Right, and we have believed therein: we
shall not join (in worship) any (gods) with our Lord. [72:2]
This is the guidance of Allah. He giveth that guidance to whom He
pleaseth, of His worshippers. If they were to join other gods with
Him, all that they did would be vain for them. [6:88]
Say: "Of your 'partners' is there any that can give any guidance
towards truth?" Say: "It is Allah Who gives guidance towards truth,
is then He Who gives guidance to truth more worthy to be followed, or
he who finds not guidance (himself) unless he is guided? what then is
the matter with you? How judge ye?" [10:35]
Or, Who guides you through the depths of darkness on land and sea,
and Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His
Mercy? (Can there be another) god besides Allah.- High is Allah above
what they associate with Him! [27:63]
Then seest thou such a one as takes as his god his own vain desire?
Allah has, knowing (him as such), left him astray, and sealed his
hearing and his heart (and understanding), and put a cover on his
sight. Who, then, will guide him after Allah (has withdrawn
Guidance)? Will ye not then receive admonition? [45:23]
Nay, the wrong-doers (merely) follow their own lusts, being devoid of
knowledge. But who will guide those whom Allah leaves astray? To them
there will be no helpers. [30:29]
Is he, then, to whom the evil of his conduct is made alluring, so
that he looks upon it as good, (equal to one who is rightly guided)?
For Allah leaves to stray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. So
let not thy soul go out in (vainly) sighing after them: for Allah
knows well all that they do! [35:8]
Those who believe, and work righteousness,- their Lord will guide
them because of their faith: beneath them will flow rivers in gardens
of bliss. [10:9]
The Unbelievers say: "Why is not a sign sent down to him from his
Lord?" Say: "Truly Allah leaveth, to stray, whom He will; But He
guideth to Himself those who turn to Him in penitence,- [13:27]
If Allah so willed, He could make you all one people: But He leaves
straying whom He pleases, and He guides whom He pleases: but ye shall
certainly be called to account for all your actions. [16:93]
