What Quran Says About Truth?

(Rushd)

Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things. [2:256] God is the Protector of those who have faith: from the depths of darkness He will lead them forth into light. Of those who reject faith the patrons are the evil ones: from light they will lead them forth into the depths of darkness. They will be companions of the fire, to dwell therein (For ever). [2:257]

Make trial of orphans until they reach the age of marriage; if then ye find sound judgment in them, release their property to them; but consume it not wastefully, nor in haste against their growing up. If the guardian is well-off, Let him claim no remuneration, but if he is poor, let him have for himself what is just and reasonable. When ye release their property to them, take witnesses in their presence: But all-sufficient is Allah in taking account. [4:6]

Say: It has been revealed to me that a company of Jinns listened (to the Quran). They said, 'We have really heard a wonderful Recital! [072:002] 'It gives guidance to the Right, and we have believed therein: we shall not join (in worship) any (gods) with our Lord. [72:2]

Behold, Moses said to his attendant, "I will not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas or (until) I spend years and years in travel." [18:60] But when they reached the Junction, they forgot (about) their Fish, which took its course through the sea (straight) as in a tunnel. [18:61] When they had passed on (some distance), Moses said to his attendant: "Bring us our early meal; truly we have suffered much fatigue at this (stage of) our journey."

[18:62] He replied: "Sawest thou (what happened) when we betook ourselves to the rock? I did indeed forget (about) the Fish: none but Satan made me forget to tell (you) about it: it took its course through the sea in a marvellous way!" [18:63] Moses said: "That was what we were seeking after:" So they went back on their footsteps, following (the path they had come). [18:64] So they found one of Our servants, on whom We had bestowed Mercy from Ourselves and whom We had taught knowledge from Our own Presence. [18:65] Moses said to him: "May I follow thee, on the footing that thou teach me something of the (Higher) Truth which thou hast been taught?" [18:66]

We appointed for Moses thirty nights, and completed (the period) with ten (more): thus was completed the term (of communion) with his Lord, forty nights. And Moses had charged his brother Aaron (before he went up): "Act for me amongst my people: Do right, and follow not the way of those who do mischief." [7:142] When Moses came to the place appointed by Us, and his Lord addressed him, He said: "O my Lord! show (Thyself) to me, that I may look upon thee." God said: "By no means canst thou see Me (direct); But look upon the mount; if it abide in its place, then shalt thou see Me." When his Lord manifested His glory on the Mount, He made it as dust. And Moses fell down in a swoon. When he recovered his senses he said: "Glory be to Thee! to Thee I turn in repentance, and I am the first to believe." [7:143] (God) said: "O Moses! I have chosen thee above (other) men, by the mission I (have given thee) and the words I (have spoken to thee): take then the (revelation) which I give thee, and be of those who give thanks." [7:144] And We ordained laws for him in the tablets in all matters, both commanding and explaining all things, (and said): "Take and hold these with firmness, and enjoin thy people to hold fast by the best in the precepts: soon shall I show you the homes of the wicked,- (How they lie desolate)." [7:145] Those who behave arrogantly on the earth in defiance of right - them will I turn away from My signs: Even if they see all the signs, they will not believe in them; and if they see the way of right conduct, they will not adopt it as the way; but if they see the way of error, that is the way they will adopt. For they have rejected our signs, and failed to take warning from them. [7:146]

We bestowed aforetime on Abraham his rectitude of conduct, and well were We acquainted with him. [21:51] We bestowed aforetime on Abraham his rectitude of conduct, and well were We acquainted with him. [21:51] Behold! he said to his father and his people, "What are these images, to which ye are (so assiduously) devoted?" [21:52] They said, "We found our fathers worshipping them." [21:53] He said, "Indeed ye have been in manifest error - ye and your fathers." [21:54] They said, "Have you brought us the Truth, or are you one of those who jest?" [21:55] He said, "Nay, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, He Who created them (from nothing): and I am a witness to this (Truth). [21:56] "And by God, I have a plan for your idols - after ye go away and turn your backs".. [21:57] So he broke them to pieces, (all) but the biggest of them, that they might turn (and address themselves) to it. [21:58] They said, "Who has done this to our gods? He must indeed be some man of impiety!" [21:59] They said, "We heard a youth talk of them: He is called Abraham." [21:60] They said, "Then bring him before the eyes of the people, that they may bear witness." [21:61] They said, "Art thou the one that did this with our gods, O Abraham?" [21:62] He said: "Nay, this was done by - this is their biggest one! ask them, if they can speak intelligently!" [21:63] So they turned to themselves and said, "Surely ye are the ones in the wrong!" [21:64] Then were they confounded with shame: (they said), "Thou knowest full well that these (idols) do not speak!" [21:65] (Abraham) said, "Do ye then worship, besides God, things that can neither be of any good to you nor do you harm? [21:66] "Fie upon you, and upon the things that ye worship besides God! Have ye no sense?".. [21:67] They said, "Burn him and protect your gods, If ye do (anything at all)!" [21:68] We said, "O Fire! be thou cool, and (a means of) safety for Abraham!" [21:69] Then they sought a stratagem against him: but We made them the ones that lost most! [21:70]
