What Quran Says About Heart?
(Sadr)
Have We not expanded thee thy breast?- [94:1]
A Book revealed unto thee,- So let thy heart be oppressed no more by any difficulty on that account,- that with it thou mightest warn (the erring) and teach the Believers). [7:2]
Perchance thou mayest (feel the inclination) to give up a part of what is revealed unto thee, and thy heart feeleth straitened lest they say, "Why is not a treasure sent down unto him, or why does not an angel come down with him?" But thou art there only to warn! It is Allah that arrangeth all affairs! [11:12]
We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say. [15:97]
Is one whose heart Allah has opened to Islam, so that he has received Enlightenment from Allah, (no better than one hard-hearted)? Woe to those whose hearts are hardened against celebrating the praises of Allah. they are manifestly wandering (in error)! [39:22]
Any one who, after accepting faith in Allah, utters Unbelief,- except under compulsion, his heart remaining firm in Faith - but such as open their breast to Unbelief, on them is Wrath from Allah, and theirs will be a dreadful Penalty. [16:106]
Those whom Allah (in His plan) willeth to guide,- He openeth their breast to Islam; those whom He willeth to leave straying,- He maketh their breast close and constricted, as if they had to climb up to the skies: thus doth Allah (heap) the penalty on those who refuse to believe. [6:125]
Behold, thy Lord called Moses: "Go to the people of iniquity,- [26:10] "The people of the Pharaoh: will they not fear God?" [26:11] He said: "O my Lord! I do fear that they will charge me with falsehood: [26:12] "My breast will be straitened. And my speech may not go (smoothly): so send unto Aaron. [26:13] "And (further), they have a charge of crime against me; and I fear they may slay me." [26:14] God said: "By no means! proceed then, both of you, with Our Signs; We are with you, and will listen (to your call). [26:15] "So go forth, both of you, to Pharaoh, and say: 'We have been sent by the Lord and Cherisher of the worlds; [26:16] "'Send thou with us the Children of Israel.'" [26:17]
(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; [20:25] "Ease my task for me; [20:26] "And remove the impediment from my speech, [20:27] "So they may understand what I say: [20:28] "And give me a Minister from my family, [20:29] "Aaron, my brother; [20:30] "Add to my strength through him, [20:31] "And make him share my task: [20:32] "That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint, [20:33] "And remember Thee without stint: [20:34] "For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us." [20:35] (God) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" [20:36]
