What Quran Says About Drown?

(Ghraq)

Your Lord is He That maketh the Ship go smoothly for you through the sea, in order that ye may seek of his Bounty. For he is unto you most Merciful. [17:66] When distress seizes you at sea, those that ye call upon - besides Himself - leave you in the lurch! but when He brings you back safe to land, ye turn away (from Him). Most ungrateful is man! [17:67] Do ye then feel secure that He will not cause you to be swallowed up beneath the earth when ye are on land, or that He will not send against you a violent tornado (with showers of stones) so that ye shall find no one to carry out your affairs for you? [17:68] Or do ye feel secure that He will not send you back a second time to sea and send against you a heavy gale to drown you because of your ingratitude, so that ye find no helper. Therein against Us? [17:69]

If it were Our Will, We could drown them: then would there be no helper (to hear their cry), nor could they be delivered, [36:43] ] Except by way of Mercy from Us, and by way of (world) convenience (to serve them) for a time. [36:44]

Behold, Moses said to his attendant, "I will not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas or (until) I spend years and years in travel." [18:60] But when they reached the Junction, they forgot (about) their Fish, which took its course through the sea (straight) as in a tunnel. [18:61] When they had passed on (some distance), Moses said to his attendant: "Bring us our early meal; truly we have suffered much fatigue at this (stage of) our journey."

[18:62] He replied: "Sawest thou (what happened) when we betook ourselves to the rock? I did indeed forget (about) the Fish: none but Satan made me forget to tell (you) about it: it took its course through the sea in a marvellous way!" [18:63] Moses said: "That was what we were seeking after:" So they went back on their footsteps, following (the path they had come). [18:64] So they found one of Our servants, on whom We had bestowed Mercy from Ourselves and whom We had taught knowledge from Our own Presence. [18:65] Moses said to him: "May I follow thee, on the footing that thou teach me something of the (Higher) Truth which thou hast been taught?" [18:66] (The other) said: "Verily thou wilt not be able to have patience with me!" [18:67] "And how canst thou have patience about things about which thy understanding is not complete?" [18:68] Moses said: "Thou wilt find me, if God so will, (truly) patient: nor shall I disobey thee in aught." [18:69] The other said: "If then thou wouldst follow me, ask me no questions about anything until I myself speak to thee concerning it." [18:70] So they both proceeded: until, when they were in the boat, he scuttled it. Said Moses: "Hast thou scuttled it in order to drown those in it? Truly a strange thing hast thou done!" [18:71]

To Moses We did give Nine Clear Sings: As the Children of Israel: when he came to them, Pharaoh said to him: "O Moses! I consider thee, indeed, to have been worked upon by sorcery! [17:101] Moses said, "Thou knowest well that these things have been sent down by none but the Lord of the heavens and the earth as eye-opening evidence: and I consider thee indeed, O Pharaoh, to be one doomed to destruction!" [17:102] So he resolved to remove them from the face of the earth: but We did drown him and all who were with him. [17:103]
